I was born and raised in the Eugene, Oregon area. In the late ‘70s I enlisted in the Air Force and served as an F-15 and F-16 jet engine mechanic before getting an engineering degree and working as a structural engineer on everything from the C-141 to the F-35. After retiring from the Air Force on my last assignment in Utah, I worked in the F-16 structural engineering branch at Hill AFB as a defense contractor and fully retired in March 2020. I stay busy flying for the Utah Civil Air Patrol and currently serve as the state coordinator for the CAP glider program. |
